NOBLE WHITLEY LOVETT
Funeral service for Noble Whit-
ley Lovett, 86, Clinton, who died
Tuesday, January 12,. in hospital
at Lucknow, after a long illness,
was held Thursday afternoon, Jan-
uary 15, at the Bali and Mitch
funeral home, High St., Clinton,
Rev. R. M. P. Bulteel of St.
Paul's Anglican Church, Clinton,
officiated. Interment was in Clin-
ton Cemetery.
Pall -bearers were Albert Mc-
Laughlin, Frank Lobb, Harvey
Hayter, Earl Reid, William Lovett
and Kndx Williams.
Born on the Base Line, north of
Clinton, Mr. Lovett, who was a son
of the late Mr. and Mrs. Charles
Lovett, married Elizabeth Gauley.
For years they pioneered in the
Canadian west, after which they
retired to Clinton, where Mrs.
Lovett died 14 years ago.
Mr. Lovett was a member of
St. Paul's Anglican Church, Clin-
ton, and a former member of the
Orange Lodge.
Surviving are one son, Charles
R. Lovett, Seaforth; two daugh-
ters, Mrs. T. W. (Anna Mabel)
Harrison, Moose Jaw, Sask.. Miss
Sarabell Lovett, Clinton; and sev-
en grandchildren. Mr, Lovett was
the last of a family of 13.
FRANK NEWTON DOPKING
(Trenton Courier -Advocate)
Frank Newton Dopking, Tren-
ton, passed away at Trenton
Memorial Hospital, on Thursday,
January 8, 1953, at the age of 45
years. Born in Enterprise, Ont.,
the son of the late Ethel Dopking
and E. J. Dopking, he had lived
in Trenton for the past 17 years
since coming from Point Anne,
Ontario.
His wife, the former Beatrice
Brown, daughter of Mr. and Mrs.
Jams Brown, Queen Street, Clin-
ton, mourns his death and Clin-
ton and Elva Dopking, at home,
mourn the loss of a loving and
affectionate father. The late Mr.

DIES AFTER CRASH
ON FRIDAY NIG.HT
On Friday evening, January
16, while returning from his
work at RCAF Station, Clinton,
Peter Lazet of R.R. 1, Londes-
boro, crashed into a tree on the
roadside, four miles north of
Clinton. It is believed that his
car swerved on the wet road and
went out of control.
Following the discovery of Mr.
Lazet, he was rushed to Clinton
Public Hospital for treatment
and was later transferred to Vic-
toria Hospital, London, for brain
surgery.
His injuries were of such a
nature, that in spite of medical
aid, he never regained conscious -
nes and succumbed in London
early Monday morning.
Mr. Lazet was a new Dutch
Canadian who had come to Can-
ada in recent years. He was 50
years of age. He is survived by
his wife). and two married child-
ren, Peter, Kirkton, Mrs. Guetter,
and two young daughters, and
one son, at home.
Funeral services were conduct-
ed on Wednesday at 2 p.m. in
the Beattie funeral home, Ratten-
bury Street, Clinton, by Rev. F.
Hoytema of the Christian Reform
Congregation.
Interment was made in Ball's
Cemetery. The pall -bearers were,
C. Buruma, D. Bruinsma, F.
Idsinga, W. Bakelaar, Sid Lansing
and Wilfred Penfound.
Dopking was an employee of the
Central Bridge Company, Tren-
ton, and for the past 16 years as
a fitter foreman.
The late Mr. Dopking rested at
the family residence, 93 West
Street, until time of service. On
Monday afternoon, at 1.45 p,m.,
Rev. T. R. Delaney and Rev. W.
R. Makin officiated at the fun-
eral service in the Baptist
Church, in Trenton. Interment
was in White's Cemetery. Messrs.
Clark Vance, Roland Faul, Paul
Bailey, Wally Bellamy, Cyril
Whitney and Grant Shorey acted
as pallbearers.
MRS. WILLIAM KILBRIDE
Funeral services were conducted
by Father Moyahan in All Saints
Roman Catholic Church, Strath-
roy, on Wednesday morning, Jan-
uary 14, for the former Pearl
Mary Kindree, beloved wife of
William Kilbride, who died . in
Strathroy Hospital on Sunday,
January 11, in her 72nd year. In-
terment was made in Strathroy
Roman Catholic Cemetery.
Pall -bearers were Merritt Mux -
low, Joseph Laments, Frank Lan-
gan, William Bellair, George Knott
and John Brady.
Deceased lived in the Township
of Metcalfe for some time, and
here in Clinton, before moving to
Strathroy 36 years ago. While in
Clinton she was an active member
of the Women's Institute and St.
Joseph's Roman Catholic Church.
Surviving are her husband, Wil-
liam Kilbride, and three sisters,
Mrs. 0, Callahan, Toronto; Mrs,
Stella Elms, St. Thomas; Mrs,
John Shanahan, Clinton.
