Friendship ,Club Holds
Final Meeting of 1952
The Friendship Club of St."
Paul's Church met November 25
in the Parish Hall.
After the usual club prayer and
Lord's Prayer, the president, Mrs.
Roy Fitzsmions, welcomed the
guests, the ladies of the Guild,
Chancel Guild and Women's Aux-
iliary. Some important items of
business were dealt with and then
Mrs. R. M. P. Bulteel favored with
a solo, accompanied by Mrs. Theo
Fremlin.
The president then introduced
the guest speaker, Miss Margaret
Brophy, Women's Editor, at
CKNX, Wingham. Miss Brophy
spoke on the art of entertaining,
good radio publicity and a few
household hints. Mrs. Bulteel fav-
ored with another solo.
The highlight of the evening was
that Miss Brophy had brought a
recording machine; recorded Mrs.
Bulteel's solos and then played
them back. She then asked any-
one that wished their voice re-
corded to come forward. This was
all very interesting and enjbyed
very much.
On behalf of the club, Mrs. Ken
Cooke presented Miss Brophy with
a gift in appreciation of her kind-
ness in attending the meeting.
The meeting came to a close
with a delicious lunch served by
the hostesses.
On December 3 the Friendship
Club met in the Parish Hall for
the final meeting of 1952.
The date was set for packing
the Christmas baskets and $100
was donated to the Lighting Fund
of the church.
Delicious refreshments were
served by the hostess.
The next meeting will be in the
form of a pot -luck supper on Wed-
nesday, January 14, at 6.30 p.m.
The members are asked to please
remember their fees for this meet-
ing. The new slate of officers will
be installed at the meeting.
