Alton Johnston was taken to
Clinton Public Hospital on Friday,
suffering from a recurrence of an
illness earlier this fall,.
Cpl. and Mrs. Peter Cooper, re-
cently married in St. Paul's Ang-
lican Church, Clinton, are living
in Joseph McCully's apartment,

WA Ulects 1953 Officers.
The regular monthly meeting of
Brucefield WQman'S Association
was held in the schoolroom of the
church on Tuesday afternoon, De-
cember 2.
The meeting opened by singing
a hymn with Mrs. W, McBeath at
the piano, Mrs. W. J. Maines and
Mrs, W, Broadfoot had charge of
the scripture and devotional ex-
ercises. Another hymn was sung.
The president, Miss Martha Mc-
Donald, took the chair for the
business part of the meeting. The
creed was repeated and the min-
utes of the previous meeting were
read. The roll call was answered
by a Christmas message,
The treasurer's report was giv-
en and the offering was taken by
Mrs. H. Ferry, Mrs. Ross Scott
reported for the visiting commit-
tee, The GGIT is to be in charge
of decorating the Church for
Christmas Sunday,
The various groups reported a
successful year as follows: Group
1, $200; Group 2, $324,17; Group
3, $385, with more to come in yet.
It was moved by Miss E, Bowey
and seconded by Mrs. Robert Al-
lan that $700 be turned over to
the managers.
The president thanked the As-
sociation members for hearty co-
operation in 1952. Mrs. Dalrymple
moved a vote of thanks to the
president, Miss McDonald, for her
splendid work during the past
year,
After the election of officers in
1953, the meeting closed with the
singing of the Association hymn
and prayer.
The election resulted as follows:

L. Wilson; treasurer, Mrs. H.
