The many friends of Mrs. Griffiths will ,be sorry to learn that she is a patient in the Gen- eral Hospital there having under- gone a major operation on Tues- day. . Library Concert Auburn Public Library held its annual concert in the Forester's Hall on Friday night. The program was presented by pupils of six local schools, namely Auburn school; Miss M. McIver teacher; S.S. 9, Hullett, Miss Mc- Farlane, teacher; Prosperity school, Mrs. Kitchiner Finnigan, teacher; Westfield school, Miss Ada Dow, teacher; S.S. No, 16 East Wawanosh, Carl Mills, teach- er; U.S.S. No. 11, Robert Ferris, teacher.. Each school presented three numbers, The president, Dr, B. C. Carl Mills school presented a dialogue and chorus by the school. Mrs. Finnigan 's school had a boy's trio, Allan Webster, Jim Mills and Fredde Bakker with guitar accompaniment and a girls' duet by Effe and Antje Bakker Dffuotrchat3 encore they sang a song in Miss' McFarlane's school had la two-part song; a girl's chorus, "Alice Blue Gown" in costume and two choruses by the boys. Auburn school presented a chor- us by, the school: a skit "Inocula- tion Day at School," and a square dance with Bill Dobie calling off. Mr. Ferris' school had a dialo- gue; a duet by Edna and Ellin Daer and a P.T. drill. ,The evening closed by singing "The Queen." A vote of thanks was accorded the teachers and the pupils for the splendid entertain- ment. The accompanists were Miss Margaret A. Jackson, Miss Hamilton; Music supervisors, Mrs. R. J. Phillips and Miss Mellveen., Proceeds were over $53,00 Womeus Institute The monthly meeting of the Wo- men's Institute was held in the Farrester's Hall on Thursday with Mrs. Wes Bradnock presiding and Mrs, R.
