recently, and have been visiting
the latter's sisters, Miss Mabel
Rathwell, Clinton, and Mrs. Wil-
liam Foster, Hensall. They are
returning West on Friday.

Mrs. John K McEwen, Stuart Mc-
Ewen, Stanley Township; and Mr.
and Mrs. Stewart Middleton were
guests on Sunday at a family din-
ner held at the home of Mr. and
Mrs. 0. L. Paisley.

field Township, spent the weekend
with Mr. and Mrs. Charles Nelson.

lucky winner of a radio lamp at
Seaforth Fall Fair.

On Saturday, September 27, a
very quiet Holy Communion wed-
ding ceremony, in St. Leonard's.
Chapel, Church of St. John the
Baptist, (Norway, Toronto), was
performed by. Rev, Canon F. J.
Nicholson, between Margaret El-
eanor, daughter of Mr. and Mrs.
John P. Griffin and William Hen-
ry (Bill) McGregor, son of Mr. and
Mrs. Harry IWEGregor.
Given in marriage by her father,
the bride wore a floor length gown
of white slipper satin, with tiered
scalloped shoulder collar and lily
point sleeves. Her full length em-
broidered veil fell from a petal
headdress. She carried a cascade
of red roses.'
The bridesmaid, Miss Dorothy
Smith, wore a gown of rose taffeta
and carried a cascade of cream
roses.
The best man was Donald Mc-
Gregor, brother of the groom.
A wedding dinner was served at
the home of the bride's parents,
The bride's mother wore a crepe
and lace dress of midnight blue
with navy accessories, The groom's
mother wore a dress of French
toast silk with Erin greeh acces-
sories.
The bridal couple left for a trip
to the United States. On their re-
turn they will live in Toronto.

The officiating clergyman was Thursday of each week

Theo Fremlin presided at the or-
gan, Miss Jean MacPherson was
$(31qT'hiset* bride wore a gown of an-
tique satin, fashioned on princess
lines with moulded bodice covered
with applique -Chantilly lace- ex-
tending to a point over the skirt.
It featured a square neckline and
long pointed sleeves. The full
skirt, edged with ruching of like
material extended into an aisle-
wide cathedral train. Her ivory
tulle illusion fingertip veil was
held in place by a pearl trimmed
net-covered, pleated satin head-
dress, and she caried a bouquet of
Johanna Hill roses.
The maid of honor, Miss Cath-
erine Fingland, Guelph, and Miss
Barbara Ford, sister of the •bride,
were gowned identically in moss
green satin and carried arrange-
ments of bronze 'mums.
The groomsman was Alvin Wise,
brother of the groom, and the ush-
ers were Harold Wise, the groom's
brother, and Fred Gibson.
The reception was held at the
home of the bride's parents, after
which Mr. and Mrs. Wise left for
a wedding trip through Northern
Ontario. The bride travelled in a
dark green check suit with a Har-
ris tweed topcoat and brown ac-
cessories. Upon their return they
will make their home in Clinton.
