TOYLAND, JOYLANDI This is the loveliest land of them all. You do
not need a passport or visa to cross its border but there are rules about
getting, in very strict rules only the young and innocent can enter.
As a matter of fact, babies are the rulers, children make the laws, and the
language is the language of love. Adults, only if accompanied by children,
may visit"here briefly, view the
sights and recapture the magic
of toyland.
Wonderful Toys
There is no end to the wonder
of toys. Children love them,
cherish them — even assume a
sense of responsibility toward
them. If you'Nre ever watched a
tiny cherub cuddle her favorite
stuffed doll, put it to bed, talk
to it, care for it you know
that that toy is the cherub's
world and sun. If you've noticed
your small son endearingly
pummel his pet stuffed animal,
toss it up in the air and rush to
catch it, talk to it sternly about
its duties — then you under-
stand that your son and the toy
are united in a wonderful other-
world. With Christmas ap-
proaching — more quickly than
you think it's time to start
work on your own miniature
circus of gay and winsome toy animals, They can be crocheted quickly
and easily. Even if you're a new crocheter, you'll find your skill equal to
these toys. Another advantage they're as dunkable as any antiseptic-
minded morn could want.
Crocheted Panda
The panda bear is easily made from sturdy black and white crochet thread
and stuffed with cotton batting. The eyes and mouth are worked right into
the face to stand the wear of children's play. Tie a gay satin bow around
his neck and include him with your Christmasgifts to give, If you would
like a direction leaflet to make this PANDA BEAR, just send a stamped,
self-addressed envelope to the Needlework Department of this paper and
ask for Leaflet No. PC-5429.

Hello Homemakers! Such an
