Plans For Bazaar
Exercises led by Mrs. S, G.
Castle, President, opened the
meeting of the Ladies ,Auxiliary
to Canadian Legion held on Mon-
day, September 8. The secretary
read the minutes of the last re-
gular meeting and the treasurer,
Mrs. E. Denomme, gave the fin-
ancial statement showing a sub-
stantial balance in the bank.
Mrs. Gordon Lawson reported
that the Auxiliary had forwarded
gifts to the adopted veteran at
Red Cross Lodge, London.
Miss Marion Pickett took her
affirmation as a new member of
the Auxiliary.
Members who had sold tickets
on the Chenille Bed -spread to be
drawn for at the Bazaar planned
for October 18, handed over their
receipts to the treasury.
The conveners of the various
booths to be operated at the Oct-
ober bazaar were chosen as fol-
lows: Home-made Baking, Mrs. J.
E. Cook and Mrs. D. J. Lane;
Candy, Mrs. Claude Daw; Apron
and wool, Mrs. G. Lawson and
Mrs. Alex Haddy; Towels, Mrs. M.
D. McTaggart.
Mrs. S. G. Castle and Mrs. Bur-
ton Stanley were appointed del-
egates to attend the organiza-
tion's annual convention to be
held in Brockville, in October.
Refreshments were served under
the convenership of Mrs. Frank
