Mr. and Mrs. Victor Lundbolm,
Rosseau, Minn., are visiting the
former's mother and sister, Mrs.

Mr. and Mrs. R. Somerville and
two boys, Phillip and Kenneth,
who were in the Metcalf cottage
for August have returned to Lon-
don.
Mr. and Mrs, S. Bryant have re-
turned to their home on Spring-
bank Drive, London, after having
spent the Summer at their cot-
tage.

tained a house party for her two
daughters, Susan and Jane, at her
cottage, "The Cedars", over the

guest at the home of Misses A. M.

Shores, Mich., it at her home in

cupied one of the Galbraith cot-
tages this summer, left Monday
for their home in London.

turned to Grosse -Pointe Farms,

Miss Helen Whittall, who was a
Councillor at the last Huron
Church Camp, was a guest at the
home of Mrs. F. A. Edwards for
a few days before returning to
her home in Amherstburg on. Tues-
day morning.

Mr. and Mrs. R. T. Orr returned
to their home in Stratford last
week after having spent almost
three months at their cottage on
Bayfield Terrace. Mr. and Mrs.
Frank Squires, Stratford, were at
the Orr cottage over the weekend.
Mr. and Mrs. David Dewar and
Master George, Toronto, were with
the former's mother, Mrs. David
Dewar from Wednesday until
Saturday when they went to
Clinton to spend the weekend with
Mrs, Dewar's mother, Mrs, Wheat-
ley.
Misses Margaret MacLeod and
Helen McLeod returned to their
homes in the village on Tuesday
after having spent a week in De-
troit. Mrs. Louise Crane and two
children, Diane and Michael, mot-
ored to the village with them and
spent the day with relatives.
Miss M. Hodgins and her guest,
Miss M. McDonald, returned to
Toronto on Friday after having
been at her cottage, "Stonehaven"
for part of August. They were
accompanied to Toronto by Mrs.
C. W. Brown, who is the guest of
Miss lindgins at her home in the

Canon and Mrs. H. M, Langford
returned to Waikerville on Taos-

at their cottage south of the vil-lage. Their daughter and grand-
daughter, Mrs. R. Bricker and
Susan, have also returned to their
home in Waterloo," after having
been with them for a fortnight. •
Beverley NeCtinelley who has
been working at North Bay join-
ed his wife and family at the
home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs.
Walter Westlake last week and is
now employed at the Radar
School, Clinton, They have moved, into the cottage on River Terrace
which was the former Westlake
refreshment booth, remodelled
this summer.
Mr, and Mrs. Charles Parker
left on Wednesday to visit in. Sara
nia en route to their home In
Flirt Mon, Manitoba. They have
been visiting the farmer's aunt,
Mrs. Charles W. Parker, and made
her home headquarters while vis-
iting other relatives in this part of
Ontario. In company with Mr.
and Mrs. Chris Parker, Varna, and Mr. and Mrs. E. A. Feathers-
ton, London, they spent Saturday
and Sunday at Niagara Falls, Mr.
and Mrs, Featherston returned 'to
spend Labour Day with her moth-er.
Mr. and Mrs. E. J. Lewis re-
turned to Windsor on Wednesday
after baying visited their niece,
Mrs. B. C, Quarrrat "Llandudno,"
Mr. Sam Williams, who has
been Mrs. Quarry's guest for the
past two months; accompanied
them to Windsor, and will leave
by plane to his home at Hender-
sonville, North Carolina.

The services on Sunday next,
September 7, in St. John's Church,
Varna, St. James Church, Middle-
ton, and Trinity Church, Bay-
field, will all be at 11 a.m. At
each service the Preacher will be
a member of the General Synod
of the Anglican, Church meeting
this week in London.
Hayfield Residents Honoured
Two of Bayfield's summer resi-
dents were honoured by the Pope
with special distinctions. Service
insignia and medals' will be pre-
sented them at a special investi-
ture ceremony to be, held in Oc-
tober in St. Peter's pathedral,
London, announced the Most Rev.
John C. Cody, Bishop of the Dio-
cese of Huron.
Hon. Justice IViaurice King,
Stratford, Supreme Court of On-
tario, is named Knight Command-
er of St. Gregory the Great. Dr.
William Joseph Tilimann, Sr.,
London, is named Knight of the
Order of St. Gregory the Great,
Dr. Tillmann's aunt is Miss Rose
Kennedy, Bayfield.
