taking summer courses in Toronto
have returned home.
Mrs. John Arthur is a patient
in Clinton Hospital where she un-
derwent an operation. Her many
friends wish her a speedy recov-
ery.

and family left for their home in
Yellowknife after visiting the for-
mer's mother Mrs. William And-
erson.
Mr. and Mrs. Donald Mc/lveen
and three children have returned
to their home in Oshawa, Mr. and

The regular monthly meeting of
the W.I. was held on Thursday,
August 7, at Loedesboro Commun-
ity Hall, with the President Mrs.
S. Lyon in the chair.
The meeting opened by singi1l
'the Ode and reading the Mary
Stewart Collect, followed by sing-
ing 0 Canada and repeating the
Lord's Prayer in unison. Minutes
of last meting were read by the
k sretary Mrs. Arthur Clark.
During the business period it
was decided to change the day for
the bazaar. It will be held in the
Community Hall,
The roll call was answered by
describing "lily Wedding Dress."
Mrs. Colson spoke on the Mary
Stewart Collect.
The Institute member had as
their guests; "The Grandmothers
Cherie° Club," who supplied the
program, They sang two num-
bers, and several of the grand-
mothers spoke on social life when
they were 21. Mrs. T. Fairservice
and Mrs. Manning each gave a
reading which was quite humor-
and the meeting closed.
A splendid lunch was served by
the hostesses in charge. Mrs,
Manning voiced a vote of thanks
to the Institute for their kind in-
vitation and hospitality. Mrs,
William Lyon seconded the motion
and Mrs. S. Lyon replied in behalf
of the Institute for their, program.
Each of the grandmothers were
presented with fancy pin as a
souvenir.
