Friends here learned last week
of the death of Major Raymond
W. Bistol which occurred at Mt.
Alto, Veteran's Hospital, Wash-
ington D.c.; Saturday, July
26. 4ajor Bristol had entered
hospital in October, 1949,' shortly
after returning . to Washington
from spending six months in Hay-
field. His death came as a happy
release from great suffering. Mrs.
Bristol has the sympathy of many
friends in. Bayfield,
Mr. and Mrs, Ernest Rehn re-
turned to Grosse Pointe Farnis,
Mich., on Sunday, and James R.
Dewar left for his home in King-
ston on Monday after having been
called here owing to the death
of their father, David C. Dewar,
Mr. and Mrs. David G. Dewar
and Master George, who were
here for a:week also left on Mon-
day morning for Calumet Camp,
near Buttermilk Falls, in the
Hiliburton area. David, who is
on the teaching staff of Wanless
School, Toronto, is co-director of
this large private camp for
