ce and Gary, returned to WindSor
on Tuesday after having visited
Mrs. Snyder's sister, Mrs, 1-1, Whit-
tall, "Stonehaven" over-the week-
end, en route from a holiday at
French river.
Dr, and Mrs. Byron Johnston
and family, Ashtabula, and Mr,
and Mrs. Bert Bond and son,
Ohio, left on Wednesday for their
x espective homes after having
spent ten days in Mrs. McCarthy's
tottage, Lakeside Park.
Mr. and WS. Harry Reid, Wind-
sor, are visiting the former's
brother, A, W. Reid, and Mrs.
Reid, "Enfield," this week. Miss
Kathleen Reid returned to Wind-
sor with her brother Bernard who
was here over the weekend.
Sympathy is extended, to Miss
L. Morley, who was called to De-
troit last week owing to the death
of her brother, Arthur Morley.
A younger brother, Ray Morley,
Birmingham, Mich., accompanied
her on her return to the village
on Friday.
Mr. and Mrs. Ray Squire,
Jerry and Judy; Mr. and Mrs.
Kenneth Matin and daughter,
Nola; Mr. and Mrs. John Brown,
Hyde Park, were the guests over
the weekend of ' Mrs. Squire's
parents, Mr. and Mrs. E., Flagg,
"Flagg Haven" cottage.
Roy McClinchey, Mr. and Mrs.
Roy Dunn and Jerry, Stockbridge,
Mich., motored to the village with
the former's mother, Mrs. Henry
meClinchey, and spent the week-
end with her. Mrs. McClinchey, we
are glad, to report, is improving in
health fter having been ill for
some weeks. Mrs. Alvin Holm,
Preston, is staying with her moth-
er.
Guests at Lloyd's Cabins over
the weekend included: Mr., and
Mrs. F. E. Ashman and four
children, Douglas, Glen, Joyce
and Ruth Ann, Tillsonburg; Mr.
and Mrs. Charles N. Johnson; and
two children, Carol and Sue, St.
Thomas; Mr. and Mrs. Ian. Fair-
foull and two daughters, Wel-
land; Mr. and Mrs. A. Simmonds,
London.

Mr. and Mrs. Fi''ed Weston left
on Saturday morning with Mr.
and Mrs. Charles Parker, Weston,
on a motor trip to Tobermory,
Manitoulin Island, ,•Sault Ste.
Marie, and Chicago.' They ex-
pect to be away a week. Mrs.
Keith Pruss and her sister-in-
law, Mrs. Bob Carter, London,
are staying with the children at
the home of ,,,Mr. and Mrs. Fred
Weston.
Mr. and Mrs. H. D. Scotchmer,
Fort Garry, Man., who have
been visiting Mrs. Robert Scotch-
mer, plan to return home start-
ing Saturday, August 2. Mr.
Scotchmer is a graduate of OAC,
Guelph, and experienced in judg-
ing cattle. On the way home he
will act in this capacity at the
Central Canada Exhibition of
Livestock being held in Port
Arthur.
Mrs. James:, McGee, Seaforth,
visited her son, T. Harry McGee,
at Lloyd's Cabins for a few days
last week. Mrs. McGee, who is
ninety years of age, is remark-
ably active and enjoyed renew-
ing acquaintances in the' village.
T. Harry McGee, we regret to
report, suffered a heart attack
last Friday evening and was
rushed to Clinton Public Hospital
by Glen McKnight, where he was
a patient over the weekend. His
son-in-law came and took him
and, his wife to their home in
Windsor on Monday.

Monday to be.the guests of Rev.
and Mrs. F. H. Paull, "The Old
Rectory."
Sgt. and Mrs. Ted Davies, Shar-
on, Wendy and Joan, Trenton,
came on Saturday to spend a few
days with Mrs. R. H. F, Gairdner,
before going to visit relatives in
Mrs. Daphne Reaney and son
Larry, Stratford, visited Mr, and
Mrs. Robert Craig.
Mrs. William Straughan is visit-
ing her daughter, Mrs. Thos. Jar-
din and Mr. Jardin, Clarksburg.
Mr, and Mrs. Lester Schwartz,
Galt, and Donald Ross, Toronto,
spent the weekend with Mrs. Fred
Ross.
Frank Walters, brother of Mrs.
Arthur Grange has returned from
Kolva. He is on a two month
leave.
For the next two Sundays, Rev.
Chalrles Scott, Blyth, will occupy
the 'pulpit at Knox Presbyterian
Church.

visiting the former's parents Mr,

Films Enjoyed
Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Anderson,
Yellowknife, who are visiting the
former's mother Mrs. William An-
derson showed moving pictures in
the Orange Hall Monday night.
The pictures were all taken. by
them and included family scenes,
scenes of Yellowknife, Niagara
Falls, Blyth Fair Day and many
others.
A vote of thanks was extended
Mr. and Mrs. Anderson for the
pleasant evening by William
Straughan and endorsed by all
present.
Sunday School Picnic
Knox Presbyterian Church held
its annual Sunday School pic-
nic at Harbor Park, Goderich, on
Wednesday, with a good attend-
ance. The games in charge of Mr.

The S.S. No. 4 Community Club
met at the home of Mrs. H. Mc-
Cartney for the July meeting.
The meeting was opened by re-
peating the Lord's Prayer. The
minutes of the previous meeting
were read and approved. The
treasurer's report was read and
roll call `was answered. The bus-
iness was in connection with the
picnic which was held recently.
The afternoon was spent in
quilting, and 'the meeting was
closed with the Mizpah benedict-
ion. ..
Lunch Was served by the hos-
tesses, Mrs. Leslie Pearson and
Mrs. A. Hebden.
The next meeting will be held
at the home of Mrs. R. G. Thom-
pson, Clinton.
