water levels in Lake Huron and
Lake Michigan, the International
Lake Superior Board of Control.
announced Monday.
The decision was made at a
meeting of the board at Ottawa.
Compensating gates in the St.
Marys River at Sal* Ste. Marie,
Ont., were set to reduce the flow
from 110,000 to 68,000 cubic feet
per second.' Only one\ of the
gates remains partly open.
