-"A Barrel of Fun"
The Auction Sale held at the
Town Hall on Saturday evening
under the •aus, pices of the Bay-
field Lions' Club attracted a t large
crowd, despite the' inclement
weather, and.was
'
as one person
described it: "A barrel. of fun."
Another person chimed in: "Jt
sure was!" At 'any „rate it was a
decided success under -the 'direc-
tion of - Grant Turner and Ken
Merrier.' The Lions..-and friends
donated articles' for sale ranging
from fence posts and beds to a
pig, a drake and the finest cake;
which vzere auctioned off by E.
W. Elliott, Clinton, and Harold
Jackson, Seaforth. The one little
pig which went to this market
fared very well: fa- it was bought
by a city lad who nourished, it
with baby food until it was. sent
to the farm, where, no doubt, it
resumed 'a diet not quite so re-
fined. ----..
