She is a scholarship student of the Wom- an's Missionary Society of the United Church of Canada, 0 Baptist Ladies' Aid Has Easter Theme Hostess to the Huron Road Road Baptist Church Ladies' Aid, Clinton, on the occasion of their regular May meeting, held Tues day afternoon, May 6, Mrs. David Colclough, who was also in charge of the Meeting, based it upon the Easter theme. After singing "What a Friend we have in Jesus," repeating the Lord's Prayer in unison, and hearing the Scripture lesson from St. John 20 : 19-31, the members enjoyed the poem, "Easter Morn ing," read by Mrs. Ray Waters. Mrs. Colclough gave the inspir- ing message, "Our Easter Faith", and Mrs. 1. E. Ostrom read 'a poem, "Resurrection". Mrs. Reg. Clifford, secretary- treasurer, gave the minutes and reports of the April meeting, cal- led the roll and read a card of thanks. President Grace Castle was in the chair. Mrs. Marion Andrews was guest soloist. Miss Johnston was guest speaker. Her topic was "Cheerfulness" and her talk was much enjoyed by all present. Plans Sale At June Meeting The Catholic Women's League held its May meeting in St. Jo- seph's Church, on Tuesday, May 6, Mrs. Eldon O'Brien, president, opened the meeting with the Lea- gue prayer. The minutes were read by the secretary, Mrs. Arnold Dale, and were found correct. The treasur- er's report, read by Mrs. Alvin Sharp, showed all obligations had been met, and a substantial credit. balance. Motions were passed to hold an auction sale of sewing and baking at the June meeting, Mrs. George Carbert and Mrs, John Shanahan were elected to call on the sick. Those on the lunch committee for the June meeting are: Mrs. Clem Reynolds, Mrs. Joseph Blake and Mrs. John Shanahan. The meeting closed with prayer by the president.
