containers will be permitted for use of decorating
graves in the Cemetery.
We trust all friends, relatives and all organiza-

roses. For their wedding trip to
the United States, the bride
changed to a light blue worsted
suit, with accessories in navy.

arm bouquet of pink Talisman
roses and fern. Miss Sparling was
attired in floor-length coral pink
taffeta and lace, with matching
poke bonnet, wearing a nosegay
of pink roses, white sweetpeas
and fern. Both wore long gloves
to,• match their costumes.

ding dinner.
The groom is prominent in the
Young People's Union of the
United Church of Canada.

Mrs. Harry Caldwell was' hos-
tess at her , home Wednesday
afternoon, April 16th for the
annual meeting of Kippers East
Women's Institute. Mrs. Winston
Workman was . co-hostess. The
chair was taken by the president
Miss Grace Tremeer.
Standing reports were present-
ed, The treasurer's report by
Mrs, James McNaughton revealed
that $1,390.36 had been raised
during the year and a bank bal-
ance on hand of $355.58.
During the year this active
organization had donated cash
donations to the following wor-
thy projects: Canadian Red Cross,
Cancer Fund, Crippled Children,
CNIB. Fund, Tractor Fund for
Greece, Children's Aid Society.
Members also made four crib
quilts for the Wer Memorial
Children's Hospital, London.
The group also enjoyed a bus
trip to the Zoological Gardens at
Detroit during the year, held a
family night with a turkey ban-
quet etc.

setting for a spring wedding when
Shirley Elizabeth, daughter of
Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Broom,
Exeter, and Lloyd Robert Ferg-
uson, son of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph
Ferguaon, Henson, exchanged
marriage vows. Rev. C, L. Lang-
ford officiated for the ceremony,
Robert Cameron, Hensel', played
traditional wedding music.
The lovely bride, given in mar-
riage by her father, wore a ;gown
of Duchess satin and Chantilly
lace, the neckline outlined with
seed pearls, and she carried a
cascade bouquet of red roses and
White stephanotis.,
Miss ;rime Broom, her sister's
only attendant, chose a gown of
blue nylon lace and net, carry-
ing a shower bouquet of sweet-
heart roses.
Howard Ferguson, was his
brother's groomsman, and Herb-
ert /Broom and Russell Ferguson
ushered.

the setting for a lovely wedding
of wide interest on Saturday,
April 12, at 1 p.m., when Iris
Lucille, daughter of Mr. and
Mrs. Robert 11, Boyce, Cromarty,
and Harvey Eugene Sparling,
El/ravine, son of Harry Sparling,
Elimville, and the late Mrs.
Sparling, exchanged marriage
vows in a ceremony performed
by Rev. W. J. Rogers, Hensel',
and Rev. C. J. Scott, Bly-th. •
Miss Doris Grierson, Londes-
hero, played bridal music and
accompanied the soloist, Miss
Jean McDonald, Exeter, who sang
"The Lord's Prayer" and "Be-
cause", during the signing of the
register.

gown of white bridal satin, de-
signed with lace sleeves, lace

Choir Presents Easter Cantata
The choir of Knox United
Church presented their Easter
Cantata "Claudia and the first
Easter" in the church Thursday
evening. A large crowd attend-
ed. Mrs. R. D. Munro presided
at the organ and Miss Margaret
Jackson at the Piano.
