Brucefield United Church choir,
under the direction of eerganist,
Mrs. J. R. Murdoch, met-for their
regular Thursday evening prac-
tice in the church schoolroom last
week.
Under" the leadership of Mrs,
Alex MacBeath, the group split
into three sections, and each
tried its collective mind at solv-
ing lively contests. A "juinbled
country", a "Bird" and a "Sun-
ning" contest brought shouts ;me
admonitions to "Sh-h, they heard
that!" Probably the reason for
one,eitethese- groups ' winning all
three contests was due to the
presence of the choir's president,
J, K. Cornish.
Lunch, of sandwiches, cookies,
tarts and cake, and the ever-
welcome coffee in ample quant-
'ties were served by the senior
members to those members re-
