The S.S. No. 4 Farm Forum
met on Monday night at the home
of Mr, and Mrs. Bert Lai*, of
Holmesville, former members of
the Forum. There was an at-
tendance of 17. The topic for
discussion was "Customers
Abroad." It was decided that
Canada should try to keep both
USA and Great Britain for long-
term market for Canadian farm
products, that we should let more
manufactured goods in. from
Great Britain, and lower the tar-
iff to keep a market open. To
maintain a market in United
States, we should get rid of "foot
and mouth" disease, better the
quality of our goods, and do more
special advertising. We should do
more advertising to develop mar-
kets for other \ countries. Farm-
ers can help to promote the de-
velopment of export markets for
Canadian farm products by pro-
ducing better quality, and- a sug-
gestion was made that we ask
our government not to import
pork when our rosin price is too
low.
During the recreation period,
games of "500" and Lost Heir
were played. Lunch was served
by the ladies. The next meet-
ing will be held at the home of
Mr. and Mrs. Fred Lobb:
