Play was equally as fast in the

Also in this period, Harry Mc-

The February meeting of the
WA of Ontario St. Church was
held in the church parlour on
Tuesday afternoon, February 5.
Mrs. J. Radford, the president,
opened the meeting with hymn

the Lord'ff Prayer repeated in
unison. The devotional period
was in charge of Mrs. F. Town-
send. The theme was "What God
expects of Christians."
It was decided to have a bak-
ing sale in the Council Chamber,
dates and particulars to be an-

The programme consisted of a
piano solo by Mary E. Levis and
a reading by Mrs. Fear, Hymn

If Kincardine won this game,
the series would have been over,
but if the RCAF won, it would
have been tied.
Rather than accept the decis,,.•
ion of the executive at the Sun-e
day meeting, the RCAF manage-
ment advised Hugh R. Hawkins,
Clinton, president of the WOAA
Basis for Withdrawal
"The basis for this decision to
withdraw lees in our inability to
accept the ruling of the league•
executive, as handed down at the
meeting in Wingham on 10th
February. Our views, as ekpres-
secl in the letter dated 8th Feb-
ruary addressed to you and sign-.
ed by our team manager, are un-
changed.
"It remains our belief that the,
refereeing of the 7th February-
game was dictatorial and other-
wise incompetent, that play was
adversely affected by the leek of'
a proper penalty timing device
and that our coach returned the
team to the ice within two min-
utes of the time that he was
ordered to do so.
"A Fundamental Difference"
"The RCAF has always been,
and continues to be, interested in
furthering clean, . hard-fought,
competitive sport on an amateur.
basis. It is apparent that there is
a fundamental difference of view
between your executive and our-
selves as to the policies govern-
ing amateur league play. We
consider that, under the circum-
stances, continuation of the team
in WOAA league play would be
against the best interests of both
the RCAF and amateur hockey."
