"One of our biggest problems is the ever-increasing amount of traffic, and the parking question has become acute. It is hoped that before next summer the Council will have the parking space behind the Town Hall levelled out. If this done, there will be sufficient space to park at least 30 cars and will relieve the congestion on main streets. "There is a large number of `stop' signs missing from streets which lead on to the main high- ways, and I suggest that these be replaced as soon as practic- able. ' "It is to be hoped that every effort will be made to have sig- nal traffic lights erected at the main inferesection. In addition to regulating the flow of traffic across the/ junction and avoid congestion, they would enable pedestrians, especially children and older people, to cross in comparative safety. If and when this is done, I would suggest that Isaac Street be made a `one-way" street with no east-going traffic." 0 ", called upon to perform extra duty on many occasions, and the MASON-BEAN—At the Ramon- time is rapidly drawing pear age of Blyth United Church, when the employment of a third policeman will have to be ser- iously considered."
