!WHY ANY • FURTHER EXPENSE?
Registration cost the government a
million dollars and at that a great
many communities gave voluntary
serviee. As we understand it the cost
would be for the printing of . forms
and the payinglnf those in charge who
got three dollars per per -'day. Naw . it
seems the .government is considering
issuing new certificates on bank note
paper which would be more durable,
and if, this is doneeveryone will be
required to take their 'certificate to
their local post office and exchange
for a new one. it seems • a pity no
one thought of this before the regis
tration took place. Besides the in-
convenience, the expense willbe great.
Why not let each person get a con-
tainer or paste their certificate- on to
a piece of cardboard' or heavy paper,
Car owners usually have a case for
their car and driver's license ' and it
seems up to each one of us to take
care of our registration card, without
the government spending any more on
the,matter, Wiarton Echo.
