of the Meat. •Cookery Course • held. in

ers from the brandies and 'discussed
their reports which included accom=

personal gains.,Exhibits of meat dish-
es from .Teeswater, Whitechurch, Par-
amount, Lucknow, Reid's' •Corners,
Holyrood and Ripley, were judged .for
color, texture, flavor, appearance and

OBITUARY
GEORGE BROOKS,.,,
The community was shocked' and
saddened on Sunday evening, • April
14th to_learli of the sudden passing
of .a well known and highly esteemed
resident of Huron Township in the
person of George F. Brooks. Mr.
.Brooks bad been a Patient iri the .God-
erich Hospital since undergoing a .
very .critical, operation on. March 19th,
There had. been some • improvement,
in his condition and his many friends
held., out Hopes for his recevery until
the . Saturday :before his passing when..
' he began to sink .'Very rapidly.
He. was a: laying' hilsband and •a
kind' father :.His chair is, vacant, his
voice • is stilled bid loving memories
shall always linger.

born on the Sixth Con. of Buren'
Township fifty-eight years ago, a son
of the late George Alexander Brooks
and • Eliza • . Jane . •Raulston. He later

bf Huron where he continued to re-
side up until the time of his death.
He was a member of•the Olivet • Un-
ited church and always enjoyed atten-
ding the services, 'when health per-
