who has been in Clinton hospital for
some time, has recovered sufficiently

STRAY CALVES.
The Montreal Witness publishes a
letter from its Ottawa c srresltniliient
giving a compilation of the total vote
cast iu the Province in the Dominion
elections last month. The returns show
a total Liberal vote of 187,188 and a
total Conservative vote of 190,419, a
Conservative majority throughout the
Province of Duly 3,2::6. The returns for
Algoma, Which were not at hand W1te11
this calculation was made, would reclnee
this Majority. The Conservatives have
55 menthols and the Liberals 86, a maj-
ority of 19, a number altogether dispro-
portionate to their majority of the pop.

vote, they have 60 a er cent of the repre-
sentation of the House.
