By-law No. 435, amounting to $4842.70, to consolidate the foregoing amounts was also read. By-law No. 436, confirming the agree- ment between the• Corporation and Messrs. 'Howson, Harvey & Drockel- bank was read three times and passed. ' The agreement between. Wm. Bullock and John Galt and the Corporation, as we have outlined above, was then read. McKenzie -Newton -That the Mayor and Clerk bo authorized to sign the agreement between the town and Messrs. Bullock and Galt, -Carried. Councillor Holmes thought there should be a clause in the agreement to the effe 9t that 40 of the employees should be householders. Councillor Holmes put in an amendment to this effect. The proposed by-law, which will be submitted to theratepayers on December 28th was then read.
