residents died on ridgy night -last in
in his 84th year. Mr. Reynolds had

He spent the firs ; year in Cobourg, then
removed to Morppth, Kent Co, In 1870
he came to Wizigllam, lie married

eight, six daughters and two son R.,

at his home on Ceutre treet on Sunday
last, Joseph Coad, at t age of 12 years.
Mr. Coad was taken ill • my a few days
before his death with' inflammation of
the lungs, but was ecovering nicely
when heart trouble se iu. Deceased was
born in Lanark conn y, near' Carleton
Place and lived there for a number of
years, then moving t the township of
East Wawanosb, wit re he fanned for
sonic years. He mo d from Wawauosh
to Wingham some 2 years ago and had
been a respected re ident of the town
during those years. Over 20 years ago
he was appointed jai"itor of the Wing -
ham Public School a d. held the position
continuously up to the time of his
death. He was els•. to bell-ringer
for a number of year Ir. Coad was
twice married hi fir wifehaving died
22 years,ago. By t e first wife there
-were three children, o • e daughter, who
die.' many years , y0, and two sons
George and William one living in
California and the o' er in Manitoba.
His second wife wa Annie Ludlow,
who survives him wita family of two
sons, Fred and Harris and one daughter,
Alice, Deceased h s four brothers
living, namely, Thos., .f Morris; John,
of Carleton Place;. Ric ., of Alviustcu,
and one 'brother in M. titoba, and one
sister, Mrs.' Marshall, `•f 1'.Iorris town-
ship. Mr. Coad was ;. man that had
no enemies and the new of his death was
heard with profound re: xet by his,mauy
friends. The bereaved a amlly and re-
latives will have the s 'inpathy of the
community in their ti a of affliction.
