so it will keep for two years perfectly
dry and as good as when first stacked.
Anyone who understauds stacking wheat
oats or ryo can stack fodder, as they are
stacked exactly the same. Tho neck in
stacking is to commence the bottom
right and keep the middle full. The
size of the bottom must depend ou the a-
mount of fodder you wish to put in one
stack. I always tie iny fodder into bun-
dles in the field, either by machinery or
by band, which makes it'anuoh easier to

middle full as you carry your stack up.
If the bundleare kept from one-third

but what the stack will shed both snow

Guelph recently, Mr. Samuel Mooney,
of Guelph township, sued Mr. W. W.
Xenny, of tho same township, for dam-
ages from the fact that the latter's cows
got into his turnip patch and didn't do a
thing to his turnips. It came out in
evidence that Mr. a:looney bad taken the
cattle to the pound on finding them on
his property. . This brought up an in-
teresting legal point. Tho judge has'

determines whether the plaintiff has the
right to seek redress in the civil courts,
after having, by reason of the impound-
