The Scott picnic was., held last Sat-
urday at the home of Mrs. A: Camp=

Although the day was cold and some-

mostly of softball, and football.

THE 'HELM PICNIC .
On June 10th,' about 75 persons
of • the Helm. connection assembled at
the home .of, Mr. Wm. Helm, Lot ¢,
con. 12, which .'was' the old homestead
where Thos. and Elizabeth Helm
fainted and raised their family of•• 5
sons and, two daughters.. ,
The afternoon was spent, in sports
and conversation when old, acquaint
nates Were renewed and the younger
generation got acquainted with their
cousins. ' .
The nien • had gone to considerable
work getting .tables and seats ready .
'for the friends and about'5.30 in the
afternoon the ladies set forth a. boun-
tiful luncheon followed by ice cream
and candy, which was appreciated by
all both young and' 'old. - •
After the. refreshments were over
the president called. a meeting`. The
minutes of the.last meeting were read
and adopted. The friends then ap-
pointed the officers for the coming
year.. The present president Mr. Thos.
Helm and secretary Mrs.. Jas. McKay
were re-a}hpointed. Some committee,
were appointed to look after the de-
tails of the next Helm. picnic which
is to be held next year at the same
time and place. , '
There 'was' a hearty vote of 'tha'nks,
given to Mr.' and Mrs. Wm. ,Helm
for 'their (kind welcome to all'the
