Gentlemen—As requested by motion
of the Board at last meeting I went to in-
spect timber on deviation of road on the
12 and 13th cons. I found that what
timber there was 011 the road allowance
had been taken off, but could not find
out who had taken it except one tree
whieh1Albert Hacker said he took. He
is willing to pay the council for it; as
for the rest of the timber taken no one
seems to know who took it.

Mrs. John Robertson returned home

Two tent lifters left the circus, while
it was at Wingham, came over to Blne-
vale, stayed all night, and next morning

Picnic.—A union picnic of the five
north central school sections was held at

Between four and five hundred people
assembled and thoroughly enjoyed them-
selves. • The afternoon was spent in
swinging for the girls and football,for
the boys. Many also passed the time
very pleasantly boating on the river.
