The cost would be in the neighborhood of $15.00. There is also one of the hydrants out of repair, a new bead is required. Then the same could be used as a spare hydrant. Holmes—Beattie—That the Mayor, and Councillors Bell, Beattie, Chisholm and McKenzie be the members of the Court of Revision. --Carried. Bell and Chisholm moved an amend- ment appointing all the members of council on the Court of Revision except Councillor Bell, but the amendment was lost. Councillor McKenzie wrote out au amendment to the amendment, leaving his name out as a in e er of the Court of Revision, but was unable to get a seconder. Tho matter of laying new sidewalks was dischssecl. The members of council thought the work should be commenced earlier. Parties wishing new sidewalks laid should have their petitions in early. Beattie—Holmes—That $1100 be placed to the credit of the School Board.— Carried. The Mayor reported that he had heard from Ed Sherman, who was at present in the London hospital; to the effect that he was improving as well as could be • expected and that he would soon be able to be around again. The Mayor said he would write the hospital authorities and find out when Mr. Sherman could be discharged. Council then adjourned.
