WINTER SCENE — If' you weren't going anywhere in a hurry, the
'weekend's .snowstorm turned yards into picture postcard scenes as the
snowfall blanketed the countryside. Highway 4,.from Blyth to Wingham,
eventually , had to be closed Sunday as drifting made the road impassable
and -Hwy. 21, north of Goderich, was closed on Wednesday.

KINBURN HALL BADLY DAMAGED BY FIRE
— A fire,Tuesday morning, believed to have
started in the furnace of Kinburn hall, badly
datnaged the interior of the building. The hall,
owned by the COurt COnstantine and Court
Contance Foresters, was built in 1900 and was
S.S. #3, kullett School until 1966.

Wednesday —morning destroyed ChiSelhurst
United Church-, which has served the rural
s- community since the 1860's. Hensall and
Brucefield fire departments and congregation
members could do little but prevent the fire
from spreading to adjacent buildings.
