One day in December a
week before Christmas, a
bunch of ladies went to visit a
family that was very poor.
Mrs. Edward answered the
door wearing old sewn to-
-gether cloths that rich people
would dust with.
They all went in and some
sat on logs and some sat on,
the floor as the family
couldn't afford to buy any
furniture. After an hour or so
the ladies left for home.
As the days went oh the
ladies raised enough money
to buy furniture, clothes and
food for the Edward family.
Well, Christmas Day was
finally here and the Edward
family were feeling-very sad
because there were no Christ-
_ mas presents and not even a
tree to put the presents
under.
Knock! Knock! Knock!
Someone was at the door. It
was the three ladies. They
walked in and shouted
MERRY CHRISTMAS! Then
a group Of men walked in
carrying boxes and food and
clothes. Behind them came
more men carrying, chairs and
tables.
Mr. Edward said. "What is
this all about?"
Mrs. Spence, one of the
three ladies said, "This is our
Christmas to you!"
"But however will we re-
pay you for your kindness?"
We like to help people like
you who don't have a job, who
are short on money and food
and clothes and who need
some furniture to make their
homes comfortable during
the Christmas season.
The Edward family were
very, very grateful.
From that day on the family
had all they needed to live
comfortably and had finally
realized the true meaning of
Chrittmas.
It was a Christmas that
would never be forgotten!

A.Christmas to , remember
One night on Christmas
Eve Santa Claus came to
Vanastra to see the children
in his sled. All of the childreft*
were happy to see him. After.
he had to go but so that we
would remember him he gave
us all a present and a
Christmas tree, He left and
we all had a jolly Christmas.

I saw Santa Claus on

He gave me a sleigh. He got

• We are going to sing
Christmas carols. 1 like
Christmas carols. They are
fun to sing. I like Christmas
because Jesus was born. I like
Jesus. He is nice. His mother
is Mary and his father is
Joseph. The,. are nice too. I
like the wise men too. And I
like the Shepherds. Merry .
