Bugs" was by Jodi Horton
and Scott Rathwell. The

"Salt in the Soup". Santa
Claus gave presents to all the
children at the close of the
program.

featured all the grades with
Kindergarten performing re-
citations and the song "We
Wish You a Merry Christ-
mas" at the beginning.
Following this Grades 5-6
demonstrated some commer,,
vials before Grades 1-2 pre-
sented their Santa Claus
Acrostic. The Grade 5 class
particpated in a French Play
"Chez Les Le Blanc" and
Grades 3-4 took part in a play
"The Bionic Kid." The Sen-
kw Grades 7 and 8, presented
*its "The Day after The
Night Before Christmas"
and "Can You Imagine
"fltis" respectively.
Between these numbers,
the audience participated In
carol singing. Dianne Steb-
bins did several dance num-
bers -and the School Choir
concluded the program with
appropriate Christmas num-
bers.
After the successful pro-
gram fellowship was enjoyed
by those attending as Grade
7 and eight pupils served a
lunch to those attending,"

Obituary
REUBEN S. AIKENS
Reuben S. Aikens, form-
erly of Logan Township died
on Tuesday December 15,
1981 at the Kilbarchan Nurs-
ing Home in his 89th, year.
He was born in- Logan
township on December 20.
1892, a son of the late James
Aikens and the former Alice
Forbes. On April 23, 1919, he
was married to the former
Clara M Eickmeyer who sur-
vives. The couple had farmed
at Lot 32, Concession 1 of
Logan Township. Mr. Aikeus
was a member of Main Street
United Church in Mitchell.
-Surviving besides his wife
is one, son iLorne of Hibbert
Township; three daughters
Mrs. Emmerson (Jean) Durst
of Seaforth. Mrs. William
(Ruby) Thiel of Stratford are
eight Grandchildren and
seven Great Grandchildren.
He was the last surviving
member of his immediate
family having been , pre-
deceased by four brothers
and six sisters.
