HAWKS 14 BRDiNS5
It seemed the Bruins had it
all going for them last Sunday
night. They had a full squad
out. They were frisky and
ready to go and the club was
looking to upset the Hawks
and edge away from the
bottom of the standings.
What happened was that
instead of a fired up Bruin
squad, they came out flound-
ering like beached whales.
The Hawks jumped all over
the bears early and led 7-2
after the first stanza.

Good news from the police
FROM THE POLICE DESK
BY HAL CLAUS
CHIEF OF POLICE
Good news from the police
departments is, something
you will rarely read. Police-
men are bya.,nature ,j_not
known for spreading much
happy news. We deal mostly
with people when they are at
their worst behaviour, or
when tragedy has struck, and
so it is very easy for us to
become very cynical about
promise of new and better
facilities from which to oper-
ate. We look forward to the
day when you can all come in
to have a chat with us in a
building you can be proud of.

Looking around town and
within ourselves we at the
Seaforth Police Department
have indeed much to be
thankful for. We enjoy the
support of the majority of the
citizens in town. We were
able to end the year with our
budget in the black by
approximately $4,500. We
did not have to investigate
any homicides, ,Majbr crimes
were at a minimum. The
