Your Name
You got it from your father.
T'was the best he had to give
And right proudly he bestow-
ed it,
It is yours the while you live.
You may lose the watch he
gave yOu
And another you may claim.
. But remember when you.are
tempted to be careful of his
name.
Oh, there is much that he has
given, that he values not at
all.
He has watched you break
your plaything:,
In the days whefi you were
small.
And you lost the book he gave
you,
And you've scattered many a
game.
But you will never hurt your
father,
if you are careful of his name.
Death ends a life but it
doesn't end a relationship.
Death is not the extinguish-
ing of the light-it is the
puffing out of the lamp
because the dawn has-come.
For dad the dawn came a
year ago - but the light that
represented his presence,
still guides and influences
'those who loved him.

The Hensall United
Church Women held their
Christmas Generarmeeting,
on Monday, December 7. The
speaker was their Minister
Rev. Stanley McDonald. He
asked the' question, "What
Does Christmas Mean To
You?" and then presented
Christmas as a season of joy,
light and revelation. All the
elements of Christmas dis-
close the ways that God
reveals His love to men
through the baby Jesus
Christ. Christmas is the
mercy of 'Odd saving man
from himself. Christmas re-
veals something of the mea-
sure of God's grace through
Jesus Christ and the quality
of God's love for us. A baby's
birth was history's most de-
cisive event of that day. God
came to man and became one
of us, that being the noblest
expression of the revelation
of God's love for man. Rev.
McDonald Was thanked by
Mrs. Dianne Gertsenkorn
