' The Women's Missionary Society of Cromarty Presbyterian Church held their combined Christmas and annual meeting on Thursday afternoon at the home of Edna Stoneman. Aileen Knight presided. The roll call was answered with a Christmas tradition. Favourite carols were sung and the Christmas Story froms, Luke was read in unison. Mrs. Knight dealt with the theme, "Let the light of Christmas abide with us all through the year". Agnes Lamond gave as her topic. "Time and Space for God." The president. Dorothy Miller. read an address and presented a Life Membership Certificate to Lillian Douglas. who expressed her thanks. First vice-president Lloyd Morrison said six farmers in Perth have been approached by the association to see if they would allow the match to be held on their farms. "Five indicated their wil- lingness. while one is unde- cided," said Mr. Morrison. Other groups supporting the idea. include the four Women's Institute districts in Perth. church groups, service clubs. the City of Stratford and the County of Perth. The , association's members pre- sent at the annual meeting also gave their support. In other business, the asso- ciation: Approved the nominating committee's report returning present executive to office. The executive are. president Aitcheson, first vice-presi- dent Morrison, second vice- president Rae Bender. sec- retary John McKay, trea- surer Ed Doerr. provincial director Albert Cerson. and directors Bruce Aitcheson. George Kellman. Ellard Lange. Lorne Bell, Wyne Schneider, Ron Skinner. Roy Ehnes, Ormond. Pridham, Tim Nicholson, Carl Vock. Joe McDonald. Burns Black- ler. Art Wickie. Keith Rose. Fred Bertrand, Vern Bast. George Wilson. Henry Har- burn, Jack Robinson. Debbie Beaumont. and Peggy Kip- fer; Approved the president, vice-president and secretary as delegates to the OPA convention and to receive $200 remuneration. The 5200 figure was 'increased from $100 and covers hotel. trans- portation. and meal expenses for the two-day convention.
