ed their exhibition seasons on
their home court yesterday
(Nov. 24) with a split against
London Westmin ster Wild-
cats. Robert Thompson's 27
points helped the senior
Golden Bears to a 5343
triumph. but the Wildcats got
their revenge by clawing the
SDHS juniors 72-34. Barry
Campbell's lh points paced
The junior Golden Bears'
attack. The Huron- Perth Con-
femme seaion opens for both
Seaforth, squads Dec. 10
when they host Stratford

The senior Bears' exhibi-
tion season really starts
swinging this weekend when
they host the eight-team
Golden Bear Invitational. The
first game of the double-
knockout tournament pits
Clarke Road against North
Middlesex at 5:30 Friday
evening. The championship
game is scheduled for 8 p.m.
Saturday. with the consola-
tion final preceding it at 6:30
p.m.
The Seaforth seniors play
their tournament - opener
against Lambton Central at

Johnston says this year's
edition of the senior Bears is
going to run, and emphasizes
defence* little more than last
year because roster has
lost some scoring poiver with
the graduation of, among
others. Dennis Nielsen. Steve
Huether and Jim McDonald.
This year's team has six
returnees, led by all -Ontario
junior team member Robert
Thompson. The others are
Eddie and Tony Nielsen. Neil
Johnston, Paul Ellis and John
Huether. The team is nicely
blended with four grade 13's.
