Brodhagen bowlers awarded trophies The L.C.W. of Peters Luth- eran Church in Brodhagen catered to the annual swing -- bowling banquet on Friday evening at the church. After dinner trophies were award-- ed to Kathleen Schwindt for womens high average, and to Sherri Bennewies for wo- men's high single. The George Diegel Memorial Tro- phy was awarded to Kathleen Schwindt. Howard Bode won the high mens average and high mens single. Prizes for low score went to Rodney and Patti Hinz. McKillop UCW hears of big, business The McKillop U.C.W. met at the , home of Mrs. ° Murray Dennis. Mrs. N. McGavin opened the meeting with the medita- tion on Remembrance Day. Mrs. M. Hackwell read the scripture. Mrs. N. McGavin was at the piano. Mrs. McGavin , gave the prayer followed 'by • poem "Why Wear a Poppy?" Mrs. L. Godkin had the topic on Faith and Justice dividing the meetinginto two groups which answered questions before and after a film strip "Guess Who's Coming to Breakfast?" about, big business companies-in foreign lands and effects on people. A humorous skit entitled, "A Yard of Argument." was given by Mrs. Jean Carey and Mrs. Larry Gardiner. Mrs. Clifton Miller. sang two solos My Cathedral. and a Charlie Pride song. A reading.
