A special Remembrance
Day service was held at
Hensall United Church Sun-
!: day, November 8th when the
C War Veterans, Ladies' Le-
gion Auxiliary. Scouts, Cubs
and Beavers attended,. led by
the colour party. The service
was conducted by Rev. Stan-
ley McDonald and the senior
choir was led by their director
Dr., Ralph Topp. \
In his message Rev:
Donald emphasized that the
parentsand children of today
have never experienced. but
meet dui loving Memory of
those who made the supreme
sacrifice and in thanks to God
for His goodness to us. Two
things to remember are the
response of God's people
during the war and the super-
human effort of those at
home. God Is still with us in
our efforts to bring about
everlasting peace by taking
up the torch of love for all
mankind. Wemust or the bell

The Ladies' -Legion Auxil-
iary met on Tuesday, evening
with president Mrs. Neilands
presid ing ,and installed a
new member Mrs. Lillian
Beer. The Legion Christmas
party for their families will be
December 6th. Mrs. 'Mona
Campbell was presented with
the -past Treasurer's Jewel.
Harry Horton in company
with Dr. J.C. Goddard at-
tended the Canadian Corps
Cylist Batallion Association
in Toronto on Saturday at the
Royal Canadian Military In-
stitute. Mr. Horton enjoyed
meeting many comrades of
former years and really had a
very happy time. The Bugler
of the 49th Highlanders play-

blind. Mrs. Wes Richardson

hour was enjoyed in the lower
