gone. It happened to fall on a
weekend this year and we
were concerned about the
possibility of much property
damage.

improve downtown areas us-
ing the business improve-
ment area (131A) as a starting
point.

people can. under the Muni-
cipal Act, designate and tax
themselves for improvements

than on any weekend.:- Our
thanks go to the Optimists
who put on a party and dance
for' the teens at the Optimist
Park; to the members of our
volhnteer Fire Department
who stood by in case of
trouble; to all parents who
knew where their children
were on Hallowe'en night. A
salute, a tip of the hat, a big
thank you to one and all;
you made our job that much
easier.
I wish at this time to
remind• those bringing corn
into town to observe all the
rules of the road. Please - no
more than two gravity wa-
gons behind a tractor. Use
"slow moving vehicle" signs
and dual means of attach-
ment. After dark, be sure to
have warning lights on your
mar wagon. or have a motor
vehicle ,follow you into town
with the hazard lights flash-
ing. Motorists 'are Also•-re-
minded to be alert; remem-
ber,. over the crest of the next
hill there could be a slow-
moving-combine or a' tractor
pulling a plough or wagons.
