The Huron-Perth Lung As-
sociation officially begins its
Christmas Seal 'Campaign on
November 1st with the mail-
ing of Christmas Seals to
some 11,500 homes in the
Huron Perth area.
Since 1927, lung associat-
ions across Canada have
used the "Christmas Seal"
as their sole method of
raising funds. Funds which
only a few years ago were
used to wipe out the Myster.

Today, over 5 million
Canadians suffer from other
lung disorders ranging fromt
the common cold to lung
cancer.

The annual Huron County
Christmas Bureau for the
needy organized by the
county's .Family and Child-
ren's Services (FACS), will
be co-ordinated in Seaforth
. And ..ar.e . _this, . season.. by
Catharine Haft. It will 'be set
up in a vacant building at 9
Main St. S., loan. ed by
David Langstaff, the week
beginning Dec., 7.
The Bureau operates total-
ly on donations and volun-
teers and will have branches'
in Seaforth, Goderich, Clin-
ton, Wingham, and Exeter.
All will be co-ordinated by
Dianne Armstrong. Last year
the Bureau operated on a
budget of $10,000 and help-
ed 205 families and 435
children at Christmas. Be-
cause of the current tight
economic situation more re-
ferals are expected this year,
„according to FACS' volun-
teers' co-ordinator Peggy
_Rivers.--
The different branches of
the Bureau will be in need of
donations of used toys and
clothing in good condition,
new clothes, canned goods,
staples, money and volun-
teers. You could call, Mrs.

Armstrong at FACS (524-
7356) if you're interested in
lending a hand.
FACS' role is as a central
referral organization for the
Bureau. The Bureau accepts
referrals from FACS, other
social service agencies in the
different communities, Hu-
ton County and provincial
social service groups,i public
health organizations, service
dubs, ministers' and indivi-
duals.
