Next Sunday Miss Brown
is preaching at Kippen An-
niversary. Rev. Bob McMul-
len will be in Varna and
Goshen.
Dr. Betty Bridgeman will
be in this area at the time of
the U.C.W. meeting on
Thursday, Nov. 5, and is able
to visit here during the
afternoon. The meeting will
start at 2:0CI p.m. with
Goshen invited. Young
people are encouraged to
come and meet Dr. Bridge-
man after school.

ers draped the Charter of the
Lodge in loving memory of •
the late sister Mrs. Grace
Thompson, along time valued
member. A former member
was welcomed into the Lodge
and five candidates were
voted on and will be initiated
at a liter date. Several items
of business were dealt with'
and Lodge closed in regular
form. Next meeting Novem-
ber 4th.

Turner's home. Poached
eggs were discussed, and
they learned that a hardboil-
ed spins faster than a raw
one. They reviewed the home
assignment - recipes and '
pictures of eggs. Sandra
explained the four function
ions of eggs are leavening,
thickening, binding and em-
ulsifying.

Mrs. Turner made the filling.
Members planned what each
would bring to the 4-H party
for parents, then ate the_
cream puffs with filling of

Rev. "Sandy" Taylor and
Margaret attended church in
Goshen on Sunday and visit-
ed many of their friends in
the area during the weekend.
Margaret appears to be well,,
but Sandy is stilkin hospital
peritxlically because of his
cardiac problems. They were
in Scotland In...late spring,
and visited their ii' v' grand-
daughter, their daughter's

Community Centre on Satur-
day evening with a large
representation present. The
Chairman was Bro. Charles
D. Hay P.D.D.G.M. Bro.
Rev. Stanley McDonald gave
the Invocation and the toast to
the Queen was by Bro. Jack
Upshall. -Mrs. Isobel Roger-
son accompanied at the
piano. A most delicious din-
ner was served by the Hensall
United Church Ladies'. The
Head table guests were intro-
duced 'by Bro.• Cecil Pepper
and Bro. Lloyd Ferguson
introduced the new 'Memb-
ers.

Ilowe and' the table was
beautifully decorated with
the birthday cake and baskets
of flowers, which were drawn
for and the first basket was
won by Mrs. Paul Neilands
and the second by Mrs.
Harold Connell Seaforth.

the village. Warden of Huron
County Fred Haberer of Zur-
ich spoke for the County. Jack
Riddell M.P.P. spoke bring-
ing words of greeting and
