Number 4 of the Brodha-
gen Seam Rippers was held
on Mon: Oct. 5 and opened
with the 4-H pledge. 'The
secretary read the minutes of
the last meeting and each
girl answered the roll call: an
area of the garment where
you would apply interfacing
to provide stability. Mrs.
Ahrens demonstrated apply-
ing fusible interfacing on the
facing around the neckline.
The facing was sewn to the
bodiCe back. Different types
of interfacing were examin-
ed. The junior sewers worked
on their facing sample. The
senior sewers learned how to
apply a lapped' zipper-. They
are to sew a lapp zipper on
their sample at home. The
hidden word game was an-
swered by the members. The
leaders helped the girls with
any problem they might be
-having with their vest or skirt.
