Mrs. Millarof Seaforth and her staff were the efficient caterers. Dave Gower of Goderich. Chairman of the M.C.A. introduced the Honorable Guests: Torn Cronin, Reeve of Myth. who welcomed the guests to Blyth; Murray Car- diff M.P. (Murray Elston M.P.P.- sent a message of regret for his absence): John Stephens. chairman of the Upper Thames River Author- ity • and Chairman ' of the Chairtnens' Committee of the Conservatioe Authorities of Ontario. Russell Powell, Exe- cutive Director of the same voMmittee; Harold-- Cosen of Wallace Township. Perth, and Mr. Nichol of Listowel. These two• gentlemen were present at a meeting in Cross Hall. Listowel. in 1951 and are the only two surviving members of the 15 Which attended. This interested gathering resulted in the founding of the Middle Mait- land Valley conservation Au- thority, Mr. Cosen was its• first chairman. Surviving are one son, Joseph of 29 Gordon St.. Stratford: two daughters, Mrs. G. (Doreen) Marchand and Mrs. T. (Ann) Dawe, both of Windsor; also five grandchildren and four great- grandchildren. She was pre. deceased by one brother and seven sisters. Friends were received at the Whitney-Ribey Funeral Home, 87 Goderich St. W., Seaforth, Mass of Christian burial was held at II a.m, Saturday at, St. Columban Roman Catholic Church. Rev. P.A. . Oostveen officiated. Burial followed in the church cemetery. Parish prayers _were said 8:30 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Pallbearers were: Bradley Murray. Greg Marchand, Neil Marchand, Ken Murray, - Paul Murray --and Larry Murray. Flowerbearers were Steve Murray, Gerald Staple. .GEO.H. CAMPBELL George H. Campbell of Seaforth, formerly of Listo- wel, died at his residence on Saturday, October 3. He was born February-1, 1901 in Grey Township. a son of the late Ivie Campbell and the former. Mary. Laird and lived most of his life in Listowel. He was predeceased by his first wife, the former Eliza- beth Lucas and by one brother. Surviving are his wife, the fortner Elizabeth Mae Stor- ey, two sons, Ivan of Brus- sels, anti Morris 'of Camp- bellford and three sisters, Nellie (Mrs. Robert Bennett) of Listowel; Jean (Mrs. Jack- son McCutcheon) of Listowel and Mrs.' Jesiie ' Finkbeiner of London. six grandchildren and one great grandchild.
