SLIDE RIDE COMING UP Ray Contois, principal at St. James School
in Seaforth byt former principal at St. Columban School, climbs the
ladder to try the slide at the new creative playground at St. Columban
Friday. The idea for the creative playground came from Mr. Contois and
the PTA executive at St. Columban School. It cost about $1,000 to build,
not counting a lot of free labour by members of the community.

BLESSING — Father P.A. Oostveen blesses the new creative playground
at St. Columba School at its official opening Friday. The playground cost
about 11,000, but would have cost much more had it not been for free
labour donated to its construction by the community. The playground is
set up so it can be added to in the future.
