David Micheal McLean
was christened Sun., Sept.
20. in St. Josephi's Church in
Clinton. The, god-parents are
Harold and Viola Moser of
Waterloo. There were 35
guests and as• dinner in
David's honor was held in
the church basement after
the service.
Tony and June Jeacock
will be celebrating their 12th
anniversary Sept. 27.
Mr. Ken Mcllveen is home
on vacation. We wish him all

Melinbers observed the
grades of chickens in the
grocery store and how they
are graded.
They were also told about
contamination and prevent-
itive measures that should be
taken.
The leaders told about
knives that are best and
poorest for cutting chickens
and also how to cut up whole
chickens properly.
Members were asked to
gather chicken recipes for the
next meeting.
The leaders are Olive Little
and Lorene Resole.

- On Sept. 11 a 4-H Junior
Day was held at the Western
Fair in London. The morning
session began about 9:30

present took part in many
interesting and relaxing ex-
ercises which the girls found
very interesting.
A fashion show which in•
chided some of the 4H girls
present was presented by
Simplicity. The show was new
fall fashions for this year.
After lunch an inspiring
and heart rendering talk was
given by a young lady with
cerebral palsy and the young
ladys mother. A film was
shown about the handicapped
and how they are able to cope'
in society.
A hair specialist spoke to
girls about hair care. New
hair styles were demonstrat-
ed with girls in the audience
as models. They were shown
how a hair style could shape
your face, for example how
the hair styloconid oval your
face.
The day concluded at 3:00
when fire, &ids were free to
visit the fair. Athong the area
girls who were present,at the
4H Junior Day were Gayle
Turnbull, Shiela Van Dorp.
