Mr. and Mrs. Alynn Dale of Seaforth celebrated their
50th wedding anniversary on Sept. 14:11hey have four
children (Donalda) Mrs. John Flynn of R.R. 1 Clinton,
Eugene. Vernon and Gladwyn 'of Seaforth Ont. They have
12 grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.

goodbye to Yielding
Members of Bethel Bible
Church, Egmondville, held a
farewell dinner recently in
honour of their Pastor, Rev.
A.R. Yielding and Mrs.
Yielding. After a meal served
by the ladies of the church.
everyone enjoyed the talents
of some of the, members. In
appreciation of his dedicated
service, Pastor Yielding was
presented with a leather
recliner chair. Mrs. Yielding
received a blue and white
quilt from the ladies. Miss
Eunice Doerr retiring organ-
,ist was presented with a
Westminister chime matitle
clock in appreciation of her
Ministry in music. All three
will be missed and hopefully
these expressions of appre-
ciation Will bring back many
pleasant memories. Rev.
Yielding was a familiar-figure
along the main street of
Seaforth, and well known by
many businessmen. He is
retired from full time duties.
but has kept busy ministering
in area churches. Bethel is in
the process of calling a new
pastor.

Rev. J. Ure aid Mrs. Stewart last Sunday attended the
60th anniversary the women's Missionary Society and later
of the United Church women in West Montrose United
Church on the Elmira charge where Mr. Stewart was their
minister fifty years ago. Dr. Robt. McClure was the guest
speaker. •

reitred professor of art at Guelph University, and his wife.

Gordon Wright of Seaforth recently returned home from
two months in Britain where he saw the Royal Wedding
procession &pm Trafalgar Square and then spent, four and
half weeks in Peebles, Scotland. There he was busy taking
photos and doing research for a new Slide show
presentation on the life of Sir Walter Scoft.
Recent visitors with Rev. J. Ure and Mrs. Stewart were
'Mr". and Mrs. Jacob Gofton, Platisville apd Mr. and Mrs.
Alvin Morris of Uniondale.
Mr. and Mrs. Walter McMillan of Belleville were guests
of Mr. and Mrs. Wm. McDowell last week.
Doug. Catherine Brian and Heather Keys; Hamilton;
Dorothy, Murray and Sandra Sholdice, Walton; Norman,
Eleanor, Erin and Kimberly Walker: London. surprised
their parents. Mr. and Mrs. James Keys on Sunday and
treated them to a lovely dinner at the Steak House, the
occasion being their 49th wedding anniversary.
