You chin't drive a truck any better than you drive me. You were in such a hurry to get in that thing you talLthe "fair" that you seemed to forget the precious cargo you were towing, But, f guess it was better than last year when you made me walk all the way. You were so worried we'd miss the parade you-hardly gave me a chance to have a. bit of hay 'While you brushed hie- down it the ''''' fairgrounds. And the parade. Boring! You made me walk with all those inferior-look ing horses. You know, you have no sense of humour. 1 really going to run over that binichof people. I was just trying to liven things up. Then we entered the "show". I know the procedure by heart. Walk, trot, canter-, round and round, in a circle- reverse, walk, trot. canter- line up. I knew how you wanted Me to stand, boss, but I just wasn't in the mood to stretch today. You didn't have to get mad when ! backed up into the judge. It was your idea that I-should back up. What was he ludgi4 anyway, my posterior? Before I knew . it we were running circles Again to some. crazy music. Everytime the' music stopped, you'd kick me in the ribs and I'd run like mad. Then all of a sudden yOu'd almost jerk my head off, and when I stopped, you'd flop onto an empty sack. „ Nex t you had me racing in a cloVerleaf , pattern around three barrels. That can be confusing., you know. Then youbad me gallop pasta barrel; you'd grab a flag on a• pole from the barrel; then we'd race back and you'd try to throw the flag back into the barrel. You've jot lousy aim. boss. You've got a lot of nerve. too. Not only did you expect me to carry you around, but you Made me race down the length of a field, let some other guy jump on my back and carry both of you back. Not only were the two of you heavy, but you made enough noise to give any sensitive horse a headache. Ella Bissett who celebrated her 95th birthday Thursday.
