On Wednesday evening
we attended a poppy and
P.R:O. seminar at the God-
next week.
Don't forget comrades our

sun and in the morning we
will remember them.
Friday evening was regis-
trat ion and a very goad live
,concert party made up of
legion members and war-
brdes. The rest of the
evening was, spent meeting
new and old friends. This
year Barbara was lucky
enough to meet a girl now
living in Windsor2who travel-
led-with-her on- the. Acquitan-
ia in•August 1946, and in the
same train 'coach from Hali-
fax to Toronto. There were
also six Os from Crowbo-
rough Surrey,who met again,
some after 36 years..
Saturday, 'after a short
meeting for the, "brides"
when it was decided to hold a
reunion in , Montreal next
year, the afternoon was
spent sight seeing and just
talking to old and new
friends.
Saturday night was ban-
quet night, when 500 sat
down' to an old English style
roast beef and yorkshire
pudding. The guest speaker
was a "Male War-bride-
groom", having married a
member of the Canadian
•'-.Sup day morning breakfast
ended" an enjoyable week-
end. Any war-bride or war-
bridegrooms who would like
to attend the reunion in
Montreal in Sept. 1982, can
contact Barbara Scott who
will provide inforniation.

The Seaforth Ill 4-H club
started a new club on Sept. 8
called: "Which came first
the chicken of the egg?" All
the members were present at
the first meeting. The 4-H
pledge was said. We have 2
new members: Lana McIn-
tosh and-Linda DeJong. We
first corrected (fro —errors in
our 444 manuals. We next
elected our officers. They are
as follows: president - Patty
Coleman; vice-president •
lane McIntosh; secretary -
floating; treasurer - June
Haney; press reporter -
floating; telephone girl -
Linda Van Miltenburg; cor-
respondence girl - Cathy
Coleman. Roll call was an-
swered. Next we talkeda
about grading the childen

and the grade clip. We were
shown ' how to sharpen
knives our leaders 4hqwed us
how a chicken is cut up. The
rest of the meeting informat-
ion was discussed and blanks
filled in. A delicious lunch
was served.

which is Standish, Michigan.
They added some more co-
lour to the parade.
On Sun. Sept. 27 the
Seaforth Branch will host the
Zope Rally. There will 'be a
pirade to the cenotaph with
the meeting to be held after.
The parade and meeting AMY, Therewese
swill be the jeltime two ladies present who Were
war-brides from the first
war, aged 93 and 87.
