August 22,1981 at Londesboro United Church. Rev. ftobert ,
Scott officiated at the double ring ceremony and music
accompaniment was provided by Louise McGregor at the
organ. Doris McClure was the maid of honour.
Betty Powley, Chillimack B.C. (sister of the bride) was
matron of honour. Bridesmaids were Carolyn McClure and
Cheryl Campbell. The best man was Kenneth Nesbitt and
ushers were Steven Nesbitt. Robert Thompson and Rick
Smith. Following the ceremony a reception was held at the
Blyth Community Centre. Brian and Sharon now reside in
Egmondville.

McIntosh were married Sept. 5 at Egmondville United
Church. The bride is the daughter of Mt. and Mrs. Earl
McNaughton of Sesforth, and the groom is ason of Mr. and
Mrs. Ted McIntosh of St. Marys. Rev. Doctor R.G.
Hazlewood officiated at Saturday's service. Music ,teas
providedby Mrs. Dawn Papple and the organist, Mrs. Mina
Scott. Miss Dianne Oldfield of Seaforth was the maid of
honour, and the best man was Mr. Russel Steele of
Thamesford. Bridesmaids were Mrs. Patsy Gridzak of
Woodstock, Mrs. Joan McNaughton of Egmondville and
Mrs. Mary Steele of Thamesford. Ushers were Mr. Alan
Turner of St. Marys, Mr. Arthur McNaughton of
Egmondville and Mr. Dennis Major of London. Junior
usher was Christopher Turner of St. Marys. Jennifer
Gridzak of Woodstock Was the junior bridesmaid: After the
wedding the couple went on a wedding trip to the east coast.
They will live at R.R. 7, St. Marys when they return.

1. confess. My nephew gave rite"* box of
chocolates for my birthdaY. Of course. I-
shared them, but I opened the box after we
had eaten a big meal. Not many chocolates
were eaten that day. I intended to share
them with someone who dropped in to
visit, but someone didn't drop in soon
enough. •
I confess. in the last three weeks, I've
bought three chocolate bus, and they
were not treats for my young nephew.
,riennfess. In the past three-months, I've
been deluged by lasagna attacks, pizza
attacks, chocolate attacks, strawberry pie
with whipped cream attacks. And I'm not
fighting back.
My theory is that these cravings are
merely fads. Sooner or later I will sicken
myself of these treats. (By that time, the
landlord will probably litiVe to widen the .
doors).
I confess. I do notownscales,,,sod !have
no intentionof buying any. They are very
low on my list of priorities. Just think of all
Joyce Lee, plans were made
for the new season.

month, the first being Sept.

Furthermore, I have abandoned the
habit, of weighing myself on scales that
belong to my sister, my mother. or
Myldends. None, of them are accurete.

It's been awhile since I've plugged
something I'm involved in, so here goes.
As y ou probably know. Sunday
September 13 is Terry Fox Marathon of
Hope Day in Conde. Ten-kilometre
courses (6.2 miles) are being set up in
towns and • cities across the country.
Money raised inpledges will go to-the
Terry Fox Fund for meet research.
If a Run being field in your area, get
involved. Gather uti your family or
friends. classmates or teammates, neigh-
bours or co-workers. You can walk, run or
jog. Take as little or as much time as you
need.
If you can't make the coati* but
want to be involved, sponsor someone else
or help with some behind-the-scenes
work.
The Run In which I'm involved is in
Clinton, and we'd be happy to see you
here. Registration is from 10 tan. to 2
p.m. M.Central Huron Secondary School
on -Princess Street. Sponsor sheets are
available Seaforth Town Hall and
Clinton TOwn Hall.
Bomar will be held Wed.
Nov. 24. The meeting closed
with prayer.
