The royal wedding was like
a fairy sale.- or so everyone
says. t ha les. The Prince of
Wales as the charmi ig
prince and Lady Diana Spen-
cer was the beautiful prim
cess. Like many people in
and around Seaforth I was

Wilier than OM expected and
we woke Out our heAtity,
however and,added a touch
of elegance to her dress.
As the royal couple step-
ped onto the balcony of
Bucking ham Palace. I parti-
cularly noticed the way Prin-
cess Diana looked after the
children in the wedding
The whole wedding seem-
ed to be one of love and
beauty. St Paul's. Cathedral
seemed to be the perfect

much music through the
service.
After the breakfast that
was served. in Buckingham
Palace after the wedding
service, the couple left to go
no their honeymoon. The
dress Lady Diana wore to
leave the palace was more
typical of her, I though.
When the couple boarded the
train at about 11 a.m. our
time, we turned off the
television because it was
over. But really this is just
the beginning.
We spent the rest of the
day fantasizing about being
in Diana's shoes. She is only
about four years older than
me, which seems impossible.
She's taking on a big role.
With time she will become
Queen of. England: The pa-
pers call her "Shy Di" and
this is what she is. In
interviews I watched the
night before the wedding I
noticed she would only vol-
unteer an answer to a
question Prince Charles ask-
ed her. He seemed at home
with all the questions and
she seemed just a beginner.
Like most other couples
that get married, Charles
and Diana received many
glamorous presents. What
'would you gift to someone
who has everything? Some-
one used their imagination
and sent the largest wedding
card in the world. It's eight
feet high, 32 feet wide and
contains . the signatures of
25,000 persons in :western
Australia.
Another large greeting
card came to the couple from
Welland, Ontario. It had the
signatures of 50,000-people
but was not as large as -the
other one.
past in their carriage.
Lady Diana's dress added
mystery to the wedding. It's-
designers were guarding the
dress night and day. It was
said seven exact copies were
made in case something
happened to the origipal.
The dress was beautiful
although nothing Ince what I
expected. I expected a wed-
ding dress with much lesi
