mated it is economically
cheaper to have the boys •
stay at home, because the

Coming home at night also
gives a boys a break from
the school. David added
'It's a lot cooler here," '
FINAL GAME
At the end of each week,
there is a final game when
the boys put, into vract tee
what they've learned. Fol-
lowing the game. certificates
are handed out. with a ,
repOri attached, explaining
how each student pro-'
gressed and which skills
need mo st improvement.
David said this "helps you
to keep certain things in
mind when you're in a regu
far practice." Mr. McLlwain
uses the .sheet to help his-
sons with their skills.
Mark is in the junior
program. which is a strenu-
ous course with great em-
phasis on body-building,
The school combines two
periods of 'on-ice time with
several session of vtdeo
tapes and lectures. David
will be playing with a Sea-
forth team this Year. and is
rat her upset about the
town's arena beilig con-
demned, The teams will
have•to do extra travelling
for practices and games and
Mrs. McElwain said this will
create problems since many
parents found it difficult to
drive their sons to practice
in Seaforth. Now there' may
be twice as much driving.
David used to practice on
the ice when it 'was not
being used. and now will not
have this opportunity for
self-improvement, Mark is
planning to try out for a
Juniors B team elsewhere in
the area, so the arena situa-
tion will not affect him
directly.
When asked about cost.
Mrs. McElwain replied they
do not take 'holidays during
the summer. sn view the
saving as money for the'
boys.
This is she first year the
